Being located at the central point of the resort towns ,trips from Gumbet is available to almost all nearby possible destinations. You can either lay down at the beach for long hours, engage yourself in a water sport ,take a long boat trip to nearby places ,take a Dolmus and go to some village nearby or visit the historical monuments and ruins present at Bodrum.
You can also take a taxi (Taxies are also not very expensive) and visit the hills near Gumbet where grave of famous Turkish author Cevat Şakir is present , go to some mosque (follow their culture of covering heads) , tomb , waterparks or have the most popular Turkish Bath /Hammam at some specialized centre. There are many options to be explored that may not end up in one vacation.
